How to buy
Importing a vehicle from Japan might seem complex — with HAT CO., LTD. it is a secure, transparent and guided process. Follow these simple steps to get your vehicle delivered safely to your port.
Step by step
Five clear stages — and our team guides you through every one of them.
Browse our stock to find the car, SUV or truck that meets your needs and press “Inquire” or “Get a quote”. Can’t find it? Contact us — we can source vehicles directly from Japanese auto auctions.
Once you finalise your selection and agree the price, we issue a Proforma Invoice (PI) with the total cost of the vehicle and the shipping charges — on FOB, C&F or CIF terms, depending on your preference and country.
Secure your vehicle by bank Telegraphic Transfer (TT) within the payment window stated on your PI, then send us a copy of the TT slip by e-mail or WhatsApp so we can confirm the transfer quickly.
When payment is confirmed, our expert mechanics carry out a strict pre-export inspection to ensure excellent condition and performance. We then book the earliest available vessel — Ro-Ro or container — to your port.
After the ship departs Japan we send the original shipping documents by DHL or FedEx. Hand them to your local clearing agent to release your vehicle from the port.
Payment
To secure your vehicle, please arrange payment by bank Telegraphic Transfer (TT) within 48–72 hours of receiving your Proforma Invoice.
Then send us a copy of the bank receipt or TT slip by e-mail or WhatsApp, so we can confirm the transfer quickly and move straight on to inspection and shipping.
Payment window to be confirmed by HAT CO., LTD.
